You Are What You Eat
I have been wanting to write this blog post for awhile now. I have always been an athlete and would always workout but never understand why I could never lose weight or create my body to be more lean. I would fight this over and over and over again until I would get so defeated I would just give up. On and on I would create this toxic cycle for myself. Well after failing over and over again I have decided to share a little bit about what I have done to start making my body feel and look better.
First off, no, I have never been diagnosed and no, I am not lactose intolerant but my body just can't handle dairy. This took me a long time to figure out. It wasn't until last year when I was seeing my esthetician Ofelia Duran, she's amazing by the way, that I was breaking out so bad on my face, especially on the areas that deal with your eating habits. The statement is totally true, you are what you eat. My body was portraying everything I was eating on the inside, on the outside of my body with big, huge nasty breakouts. It still took me another year to finally start cutting dairy out of my diet. Yes, I still do consume diary but in very small doses. When Ofelia first told me this I was shocked, I thought there was no way in hell that I consumed that much dairy. When I actually started looking at labels I was so shocked in how much dairy I was actually consuming. Food company's are so slick in adding extra ingredients into our food that we have no idea what we are actually eating. So that would be my first tip, to really start looking at all of the labels to see what you're really putting into your body. I know it's a pain in the ass but the simple step can really be huge to see how your body reacts to foods and if you find out what triggers your body to feel upset isn't that a benefit in finding out how to make your body feel great?
Our bodies were never made to digest and break down dairy. I won't go to in-depth of talking about this because I could make this blog post really long and then I'd lose your guy's interest but if you want more information I really highly suggest looking up how dairy can affect our bodies. I'm not saying dairy is bad for you and that everyone should be dairy free, even I'm not completely diary free but since cutting a lot of it out of my diet I have less stomach pain and can see the progress in my body start to shrink and start to turn into muscle.
If you guys like this post let me know and I will start adding more about what I eat and how to create more muscle and how to create a more lean, toned up body. I can also share on my Instagram story what my food usually consists of if you guys would like that as well. Feel free to dm me or even add a comment below.
