Engagement Photos

I know many of you have seen them on Facebook but I just have to talk about them. I will continue to brag about Taylor because she is so talented. A couple weeks before our engagement session I spoke with Taylor asking if there was anything we needed to bring or what we should do because I was so incredibly nervous. I unfortunately have high expectations for a lot of things and sometimes I am disappointed if they are not met to my standards. Taylor said the only thing she would like us to bring is a bottle of champagne because she's always wanted to capture a couple opening it. Oh my gosh, I am so glad we did, it was so much fun. If anyone has a chance to do this at their engagement session do it! We didn't know when to expect it to pop or what was going to happen (I was already a little tipsy from drinking sangria, oops) but it was so nice to just let loose and enjoy the moment, it goes by so fast.

Obviously Taylor absolutely crushed it on our engagement photos! She did everything and more than what Shawn and I were expecting. For anyone in the future the best advice I had gotten was from a friend a couple nights before our pictures. She told me to stop stressing over it, it goes by so fast and it just isn't worth it, soak it all up and enjoy the moment because I will only do this once. Instead of Shawn and I stressing out and being upset with each other, we had such a great time and laughed throughout the whole session. Life's to short not to enjoy it!

For a little run down of how our day went. We actually didn't start pictures until 6:30 when the sun was starting to set. We started on an abandoned parking garage which I think is the coolest idea ever. It's really amazing to be able to get the sunset in there while also getting all of the historical buildings, we then went down into campus where we changed in our car (which was so funny because people were looking at us like we were weird). We were at campus for about 10 minutes and then booked it to Pioneers Park where we took the majority of our photos there.

I want to thank again my sister for helping me get ready that day and for the patience she has for me. My eyelashes looked bomb by the way. Haha. To our friends Caleigh and Dakota, thank you for bringing our children (dogs), It wouldn't be a family picture without them. And last but not least I can't thank Taylor enough for her incredible talent and authenticity. Thank you for capturing the love Shawn and I have for each other. Last night when we were looking at the pictures on the couch we both got a little emotional (of coarse), but we are so truly grateful for this amazing journey we are on together and the adventures to come.

With all my love,
Cierra
