Put a Ring On It

Ok, so most of you guys know Shawn and I got engaged about seven months ago, wow, it's crazy to think it's already been that long.  Well, it has and as far as the planning goes we haven't even set a date. I suppose I will tell you a little about our story... so a few weeks before Shawn purposed to me I threw a huge fit, I told you guys I'm a tad bit over dramatic, but he was currently just waiting for the ring he had bought to be delivered. Anyway, it was a week before Christmas and we had decided we wanted to celebrate our own Christmas together before heading back home to celebrate it with our families. I had just gotten off work and was begging Shawn to let me open up a gift early even though we had planned to wait until the next day to open gifts, (that's when Shawn was planning on purposing) but because I'm extremely impatient Shawn let me open up a gift. We both had gotten so excited about opening gifts we just decided to open all of them. My last gift was my stocking, I reached inside of the stocking and felt a box, my eyes automatically lite up. I was so excited I opened it up and it was a pair of freaking earrings, by the way the earrings were from claire's. I was so upset and shawn could see the disappointment in my face. He asked if I liked them and I said yes but their was no justification in my voice. Shawn starts to stand up and gets really awkward and weird. I look at him and I could see the nervousness in his voice, he gets down on one knee, pulls the ring out of his pocket, and says, "I think you were supposed to get this, will you marry me?"

We have been so blessed but why is planning a wedding so damn difficult. I want a small and intimate wedding with just our close family and friends or even running off to elope somewhere, where as Shawn wants a bigger, more traditional wedding. What are your guy's take on the matter? Whether you've been married for years, just got married, currently planning, or maybe not even close but dreaming of a wedding comment below to help us in anyway. I think our indecisiveness gets in the way and we can't just seem to make a decision. Haha. SOS! SEND HELP!!
