Home Is Where The Heart Is

Shawn and I are sooo excited to officially be called homeowners. We purchased our first home a little less than a year ago and we are finally starting to put our own touches on it. We have recently just finished painting our main floor and are making our way up to the top floor. I wish I could say it was the most amazing thing ever but truth be told it was one of the hardest and most stressful circumstance on our relationship. Shawn and I have had countless arguments but have come to the realization that this is our home to grow and invest in ourselves and not to be in constant battle with each other. We have now found it to be the best thing for our relationship, we love to cook with each other, workout (we have our own personal gym in our basement, it's unfinished but will show pictures if you'd like), and just be silly with one another. It's the greatest place to come home to when we've both had a stressful day at work or ready to unwind with a cocktail in our backyard (which is still a work in progress, no judging).
